2nd Rayon Quilt Finished!

These are like eating chocolates!  Who wants to stop?  😎😎

I have one more I can sew before I really need to get back to quilting the cotton Angel Tree quilts due by Christmas.

So soft!  Pretty good use for a bunch of outdated clothes!

  1. Ok, these are really lovely, but I’m confused. Or uninformed. How does rayon work for quilts? Isn’t it a bit drapey? I’m sure the durability is fine, and I love rayon for clothing. But it’s not humid here, so I don’t know what rayon is like in humidity (for clothing or quilts). Please educate me!

    1. Very supple; drapes well; kinda reminds me of minky quilts. Not stiff like cotton tends to be. Should be fine washed. It's not humid here in the winter so they should be a nice weight for a blanket/couch throw. They have a fleece blanket as batting.

A few years ago I stitched a very big one for one of Laura's friends who lives in a cold loft in a warehouse/art studio and she said it was toasty warm.

And, I have tubs of rayon and some polyester so I would like to use them up!
