The process: sewing white fabric patches to almost cover the beige waffle weave fabric's surface.
1st layer of large patches
2nd layer of overlapping patches
Care has to be taken that the surface is not heavy or stiff. As drapery fabric, it should have body but not be rigid.
The 2 panels are approximately 80 x 100 inches (which includes headers and hems)
That's not something I would ever have thought of doing, but I like the look of it. I don't even have drapes in my house - just vertical blinds in the living room and across the bedroom french glass doors, and regular mini-blinds on the other rooms. This would look nice anywhere, though.
