I have sewn one of the two panels needed to cover a set of sliding glass doors. The concept is "patched fabric" shabby chic. These are in my studio space.
The texture from the quilting and the illumination when the sun is shining through the fabric is quite wonderful. They have great body from the weight of the attached fabrics. All the fabrics were sewn to the base with my longarm (which is to the right under the cover).
Some process photos can be seen here and here.

These are lovely...light and airy, and INTERESTING!
ReplyDeleteThe drapery panel looks great. What a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteEven though the light is muted by the rainy day (or that's what it looks like), it's evident how pretty these are, and will be with brighter sun, too. It's amazing how different they looked on the machine and hanging.
ReplyDeleteI thought these were very nice. They are my colors too:)
