ImprovisationalTShirt Quilt Finished

This almost daily schedule of finishing projects is getting insane!  But, Oh My!  How satisfying to see them to the finish line.

The queen sized tshirt quilt is now bound.  Talk about cozy and comfy!  I don't look forward to knit binding but it really is a good choice in the end.

This will be For Sale at my fall shows soon.  Now that I have sewn the improvisational style, I like it more and enough to sew a quilt for myself.  I've culled through some of my tshirts so we'll see how that pans out.

Collage Art Work: Snippets

The actual binding on these pieces was sewn quickly.  Deciding how to do it and then doing it took what felt like forever!

Snippets from previous projects have been machine embroidery sewn to a background.  I love how the spontaneous pieces are grid stitched.  The ying/yang is so appealing to me.

Lovely piece of linen with little snippets through the middle.  It could be a table runner but I think it would be striking on a wall.

I love everything about these pieces!  The spontaneity of the fabrics is awesome.

This is why it is so hard for me to part with any little scrap!  They speak such volumes about our lives.  I like to think the fabrics are bonded to each other like we are bonded as friends and family.

More Great Finishes: Table Runners & Wall Hangings

It sure feels good to get these long standing projects finished.  Nothing like 3 back to back markets to motivate me!

Very old school but I love it! Crisp & clean appeals to me.
Another quilter pieced both these pieces.  I quilted & bound them.

A few table runners from available scraps. One strip was sent to me and the other one has leftover apron scraps in it.  I like turning the immediate scraps from projects into quick table runners.  They are fun on tables!

Sew to the Finish Line

Those November Markets are coming at me quickly!  I can hear them in my sleep.
I've started working through piles of unfinished projects getting them ready for sale.

Decided the Raw Edge Quilt needed a regular binding.  Did it!  It will take a very special customer to purchase this piece.  I hope (s)he shows up!

One of my friends pieced a bunch of strips into long strips I turned into table runners.

One is still on the longarm waiting for its binding.

I took a very long panel that was going to be a queen sized quilt (but was rejected for the intended recipient) & cut it for 2 large lap quilts.

Phew!
Back to the sewing machine.

Aprons and Collages

So much is happening!  So many wonderful blessings!  So much to accomplish!

Reclaimed from a 1970s Sundress

Reclaimed Sundress

I had this idea that crib dust ruffles would be handy to buy for the gathers & lengths.  Turns out I was right!  I love when an idea works!

This lusciousness is happening in the background.  Lots of apron snippets and pieces attached with the embroidery machine.  I'm not sure if I will cut it into smaller pieces or leave it long and lean.

Bits and Pieces into Aprons

Yesterday I took a good look through some drawers pulling out parts and pieces to add to aprons.  It's good to give them their 15 Minutes of Fame!
