Dog Fundraising Embroidery

I am embroidering some new designs for the January fundraising efforts for a local Houston dog rescue.  These will be turned into merchandise dog lovers can buy.  The Christmas stockings were a huge success so we want to capitalize on the momentum for some more fundraising.  I suspect these designs will become small canvas pillows.

Here's a picture of Sammy, the sweet King Charles Cavalier Spaniel,  I am dog sitting this holiday season.

Patched Drapes: 1st Panel Sewn

I have sewn one of the two panels needed to cover a set of sliding glass doors.  The concept is "patched fabric" shabby chic.  These are in my studio space.

The texture from the quilting and the illumination when the sun is shining through the fabric is quite wonderful.  They have great body from the weight of the attached fabrics.  All the fabrics were sewn to the base with my longarm (which is to the right under the cover).

Small Guest Room

When designing this guest room, I wanted to pay homage to my collection of vintage linens and needlework pieces.  I also wanted a tailored contemporary look with a nod to the feminine floral spirit.  A few more tweaks (another picture and a bedside lamp) and the room will be finished (for now!).

Dog Stocking Commission

I was recently commissioned to design a Christmas stocking to memorialize a Family's Dogs.

Being a dog lover myself, I enjoyed the whole project.

Custom Draperies: Patched Fabric

The 1st of 2 panels is now stitched. 

 These panels will  be pinch pleated for drapes on a sliding glass door.  

I love the subtle neutral color changes.  Wonderful textures!

Supporting Dog Rescue
